OK, I know the title may have been a bit misleading, but there really is no huge secret that will allow you to build chest muscle fast. Everyone is looking for the quick fix or some magic pill that will give you overnight results, and it just doesn’t exist. But don’t worry… building up your chest fairly quickly is possible, it just takes the right techniques and determination. So if you think you’re up to it and you’re ready to have those huge pecs that all the girls drool over, then keep reading.
First, you have to make sure you’re working out correctly. In order to really grow to your full potential, you should be working every muscle in your body at least once per week. But since this article is about chest muscles, we will only focus on those.
Your chest routine should be made up of mostly compound exercises, such as incline bench press, decline bench press, and chest dips. You should do 1-2 sets of each of these exercises.
You should choose a weight that will allow you to get at least 8 reps, but no more than 12. So lets say for example, you find that you can squeeze out that 13th rep… you should move up in weight. Eventually, the weight you are using will become too light for you and you will have to move up, but as long as you have good form and allow your muscles to fatigue somewhere in this range, you will continue to build muscle.
After you complete the workout, make sure you allow your muscles at least 72 hours to recover before you work them out again.
If you follow these guidelines and continually move up in weight, you will build chest muscle fast. So what are you waiting for? Get in the gym and pump some iron!
